Midnight Madness Left

Midnight Madness usually doesn't form up as fat as the above picture. While several gullies usually do form, usually there are only two or three main routes. The left hand route is the route of choice. It is several pitches in length. The start is usaully a bit slabbier than the top. Often the top section can be fairly tough for a W3. This route feels somewhat similar to Lineham left. While a walk off to the right is possible, it is generally easier to rap off. Be aware, there is significant avalanche danger from the acres of 35 degree wind loaded slopes above.
