Wall lake is a popular ski touring location. It is not, however, overly popular with climbers. Two different set of climbs exist. One at the back of Wall Lake - Midnight Express, and one on the bench above the north side of the lake - Midnight Madness. To approach the climbs, drive up to the end of the Cameron Highway. Park at Little Prarie, where the road is gated. Walk, or ski up the road for about 1.5km, just before Cameron Lake. A well marked and signed trail leads off to the right (north). A reasonably steep climb leads up to the B.C border. From here it is fairly flat for 1km down to another trail junction. At a small creek, an old road continues down to the Kishenenia. Take the trail that leads off to the right. After 3km you should arrive at Wall Lake.

The climbs in this area are best done very early in the season, before the ground anchors have a chance of getting snowed over, producing significant avalanche danger. Halfway down wall lake on the right (north) side of the lake lies a small isthmus. This old campsite is the best location for winter camps.
